So I have gone to Chiropractic, massage therapy and other physical therapy clinics prior to my experience here. I was born with hip dysplasia, and never fully healed as a baby. So I have tried everything through the years. But one day in February this year, I was moving and my bed frame fell on me while I was in a really weird position. So as time when on I couldn't walk or stand up straight. I had thrown my hips out of alignment, which is NOT a fun experience. Even after just one visit I felt better. With the combination of hands on treatment and sending me home with exercises. I was shocked how quickly I felt better. I tell everyone this place is MAGIC. Hands down better than any other experience I've had throughout the years. Their different approach to looking at the body as a whole and not just one body part, helped me and is continuing to help me getting better after years of being in pain.

Went to DPT with rotator cuff issues back in Nov and the experience has been extremely positive. Worked with all 3 Dr's (Tom, Tyler and Taylor) on the rehab and there level of professionalism and knowledge was exceptional. I had torn my rotator cuff about 8 months prior and tried many exercises unsuccessfully prior to DPT. As I am a part timer in Arizona the video remote appointment worked well to keep my rehab moving forward when I was not here. I would highly recommend DPT for any physical therapy, there ultimate goal is to get all client issues sorted.

Extremely efficient, I have a chronic back issue going back many years, my last episode was 8 years ago then about 3 months ago by back went out could hardly lift a glass of water. Over 26 years of back pain and having done everything from decompression to surgery and six different physical therapys, the doctors of physical therapy in Scottsdale are the only ones to ever address the root cause. It's been life changing. I highly recommend this place especially if you have tried different physical therapies already. This place is awesome from the front desk staff to the Drs!!!!! I have been suffering with sciatica for about six months not knowing for sure what the issue was. I did a Google search and found the Doctors of Physical Therapy here in Scottsdale, Arizona. They contacted me for a phone chat and then I went in for 30 minute discovery visit. In the two weeks that I have been going there Dr. Tom and Dr. Tyler have been amazing and I am 75% improved. I highly recommend the Doctors of Physical Therapy. They answer your questions and explain everything in detail so you know exactly what the issue is and what is causing your pain. Again, I would highly recommend checking them out if you were having any issues.

I was new to the area and have been dealing with sciatica since my knee replacements one year ago and could not seem to cure the sciatica pain. Googled sciatica and physical therapists and found DPT. Based on the amazing reviews I decided to check it out. I have been coming here one month and the pain is almost gone. Best PT in the business & best decision I’ve ever made for my long term health and wellbeing. Came in with a separated shoulder (Grade III) not being able to do any chest, shoulder, or arm lifts without intense pain. After only a couple months of treatment, I not only was able to perform those lifts again, but also gained a deep understanding of how to properly engage through the shoulder and core to avoid any further injury or overcompensation by the surrounding muscles. Top tier service, with the friendliest and most knowledgeable doctors who actually take the time to understand your situation and set you up for success. 10/10. 2 years later and I still experience no pain while doing exercises I previously had thought were out of the question.

I have had back pain for more than 35 years. Found this clinic on the internet, browsed through AZ physical therapists, looking for a solution to my crippledness, at only 60. What had happened, how did I get here. Two or three ortopedists over the years had told me I needed knee surgery. I just did not want to address this situation. Could not sit and get up from the toilet, getting up from a chair I looked like the octopus in the sea, all over the place.At DPT Dr. TOM actually told me what was wrong with me and a path to reverse my condition. No drugs, no infiltration, no surgery. But all the right moves, the tailored exercises for me.I go to the gym and watch the people on the floor mats, I do my physical therapy exercises there.It is very important to know that the therapy is for my problem, I watch videos on ytube too, but I am aware that every person is different.Today I completed by 7th session, also doing the EMTT machine. I am super happy, are doing my part of course, following up on the homework exercise at home or at the gym.If you are looking for the right physical therapist look no more. DPT is it!!!!!

Here is the mini review, this place was worth every penny. Full review below.I am in my late 40’s, and work in Law Enforcement. I injured what I thought was my back and had to go to the ER. I was told I was just getting older and they gave me pain meds and may need back surgery. After two weeks of extreme pain, I found this website was willing to try anything.I was able to be seen within 24hours. Dr. Tom was able to explain it was not my back, but several muscles that were weaken and allowing sciatica nerve to be pinched. Dr. Tom explained a treatment plan to calm the nerve pain down and believed there was no need for surgery. I honestly was very skeptical, but again willing to try anything.Started PT the next day. I was amazed at how hitting a few muscle release points reduced the pain. Two visits in and I no longer needed any pain meds.Next stage, was focusing on strengthening exercises. They were on point and I could feel the improvement with each session.Final appointment is today, I feel stronger than I have in years. Back into cycling and weight training that other doctors said I would not be able to do again.My team was always organized and willing to address every concern. Office staff should be an example to doctor offices.This place has given me back my freedom and strength. As a skeptic, I can say this place is legit.

Although I have not seen Dr Tom in person, I did have a video consultation with him and what he's describing with short muscles and tight muscles. Some of both that I experience over years of non movement, plus actual injury. Everything in his podcast about short and tight muscles is absolutely great material to listen to. Sciatica! I am a former solider and retired Deputy Sheriff, and to be clear, would not wish this affliction on my worst enemy. I am 63 years old, 6'6" tall at about 230 lbs. when I literally "crawled" into DPT and met with Dr. Tom. To say I was in agony would be the understatement of a lifetime. I started therapy with he and his team and over the follow days, weeks, months, I have near full recovery (98%). Painful? Yes. As I sit here and write this, it is very uncomfortable for me to even recount my journey. A journey that the entire DPT team took with me, and stuck with, all the highs and lows until I was, and am, recovered. I cannot say enough about this group of true, caring, professional people that always had my best interest in mind. From the front desk, to the back door, everyone cared, helped, counselled, and led me to recovery. Even at my darkest and most painful moments, I despaired, but they did not. No once, not ever. I owe them a debt of gratitude not only from me, but my entire family. NO one wants to see me dance. When I came to DPT I was worried I would never golf or do hard workouts again. I am 52 and kept re-injuring my back. I was having trouble sleeping and in constant pain.Within a week they had me moving and continue to get to the root of my issue. My knee has bothered me since high school. After a consultation with Dr. Taylor, she informed me that that it wasn't my knee - it was my hip. Muscles in my leg had been compensating for decades and causing my knee pain. We started with streaching and excerises to activate muscles I haven't been using. After each session Dr. Taylor would also also work to releave my plantar fasciitis with a deep impact device.With each visit, little adjustments. What was I feeling? Where was I feeling it? Stretching and excercises to make adjustments in my progress. Each technique tailored to me and my body's response.Staff is very professional, personal, and patient.Two months later, my knee pain is almost gone. I am continuing to build strength in my previously dormant muscles. I have gone for long walks and sat on long flights without the need for my knee brace. I wake in the morning without pain and limbing when I walk.Highly recommend not waiting for 30 years like I did, but even after 30 years of, "that is just how it is," Dr. Taylor was able to prove me wrong.

This is not your typical physical therapy experience! The doctors here are very focused and able to dial into specific problem areas using multiple different therapies. This experience has been such a great one. I've never felt like physical therapy did more than the minimum that insurance would cover and have been proven wrong at DPT. Dr. Taylor and Dr. Tom have been amazing in teaching me that my knee is just the source of my pain and there are many other contributing things that are creating that pain and they are all connected. Excellent physical therapy clinic. Despite seeing an orthopedic surgeon and other physical therapy clinics, DPT solved my shoulder issue in a few weeks. They are great over here! I came in with an elbow nerve issue that most doctors would have just suggested surgery with, but instead The Doctors of Physical Therapy decided to attack the issue at the root, which involved all different muscle groups to alleviate the elbow! I’m back to doing everything I love with no pain, and didn’t need surgery because of them. The massage therapist is great as well, and played a huge part in me getting better. Having the option to get deep tissue work at the same place as the physical therapy was extremely beneficial. Would definitely go here with any form of injury!

Tried pretty much most things to deal with some mobility issues related to inflammation. Had self diagnosed myself with every possible condition too!! After yet another weekend of feeling heavily comprised, I finally yielded to search results and randomly contacted DPT. After an expert evaluation from Dr Tom it was clear that I'd found a physical therapy outlet that really knew what they were talking about. I worked through a 12 week course of stretching and strength work with Dr Tyler, all while being clear on why we were doing what we were doing, measuring progress and being realistic whenever minor setbacks occurred. I'm not 100% fixed yet - this is science, not magic - but by following direction and committing to the process, I am way, way better than I was and the results are lasting. I have been so impressed by DPT!Kind, caring, professional — and effective.I’m halfway through my treatments and feeling so much better. I came in due to lower-back/sciatic nerve pain that was making it very difficult to sleep. Now I’m sleeping so much better and - first time in 8 months - able to sleep on my left side without pain. We’ve even been able to move on to a secondary issue of chronic neck pain that I didn’t even think to address.Dr Tom runs a great office and program. Dr. Tom found the root cause of my patellar tendinopathy that other physical therapists couldn't figure out. He corrected my son's hip alignment causing him to instantly run faster. He also solved my wife's decade-long back and shoulder pain with some kind under the ribcage diaphragm voodoo massage.The dude is a genius and an all around great guy. He's also built a company full of people that are as genuine and helpful as he is. It's very impressive how consistently friendly and affable the people are that work there. A little over 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Scoliosis in my lumbar/sacrum. L4-L5/L5-S1 to be exact. The compression and curvature was also affecting my thoracic spine. This led me on a pursuit to find a Physical Therapist that could help relieve pain and allow me to get back to doing all the things that I love. Well, that journey took me to SEVERAL PT’s that not only did not help, but only offered ways to manage symptoms. Many also pointed in the direction of my spine continuing to curve, and a rod would be a viable option once it was curved past a certain point. I also went to a Spine Specialist who wanted nothing more than to give me a nerve block. If that helped my pain, then perform a nerve oblation every 6 months for the foreseeable future. A band-aid.As time passed, and my pain worsened, I wasn’t sure what to do. My husband and I live part-time in Scottsdale, and I was referred to The Doctors of Physical Therapy by a new friend in town. Reluctantly, I called. Alissa answered the phone and she was amazing. She listened to everything I had to say about my pain and my experiences thus far with compassion and absolute kindness. She was able to schedule me the very next day with Dr. Tom for my free consult.During the consult, Dr. Tom gave me a very thorough exam and showed me on a big screen the anatomy of my spine and my hips, what muscles weren’t firing, and what could be done to strengthen those muscles that would synergistically improve my pain and my body. He told me that working with their Doctors, my pain would be reduced and my body would improve between 70-100%. I really liked the sound of that!!I just finished my 11th of 12 sessions today, and I am a new person. I feel that I am 100% better! No joke. I am back to doing ALL the things I love! When you do the work they prescribe for you, it makes all the difference in the World. It is so worth it! The Knowledge of these Doctors is unprecedented. Their staff is extremely kind and professional. I highly recommend them to all. I herniated two discs and had joint issues between them. I felt immediate relief from the first visit on. I did 12 appointments and by the end of them we were addressing issues that didn’t have anything to do with my back. When I started at DPT I had been considering many options, which included surgery and various other shots for my torn labrum. I was in excruciating pain, and my physical ability was becoming more and more limited. Six months later I feel like a new person. I am able to do almost everything I was doing before the tear, pain free. Dr Tom and his staff are wonderful and experts in their field! I have been individually treating my back, knee and foot pains for years with on and off relief. One area would feel a little better while the other areas got worse. Throughout my treatments, doctors would only focus on one area at a time due to insurance limitations.I was referred to Dr. Tom at the Doctors of Physical Therapy by my doctor at Ethos Integrative Medicine with the goal of partnering on my treatment plan. He made me feel comfortable on my initial visit. Since then, I have been working with Dr. Tyler for a few months and he is awesome. He is easy to work with, encourages you to work hard and cheers on all my successes. I recently had my first massage with Allen as part of my treatment plan and feel it is a nice compliment to my treatments. At DPT, they are focusing on all of my issues at once since they are not limited by insurance and I have seen the most improvement than I ever have. I have been more active with less pains! For years, I have been struggling with sciatic pain that severely limited my ability to skateboard, run, and do other physical activities. I knew it was something to do with my hips. I had read a lot online and was always trying different stretching and strengthening routines that I would find on YouTube. Nothing worked. I tried seeing a chiropractor who did adjustments, spinal decompression, physical therapy, and massage. The chiropractor was certain it was my back causing all my problems while I tried arguing that it was my hip. After the 2nd visit, I started noticing results. Now, I'm about halfway through my treatment, and I am pain free. I am able to skate a little more now. I can feel myself getting stronger. Tom and his team were able to identify my issues and provide targeted exercises to increase mobility and strength. I was right; it was my hips.
