Post-pregnancy back pain is something we see all the time at DPT. At first, many new moms think it’s normal and will eventually go away. Then 5 years later they are still experiencing back pain. Women experience physiological changes from pregnancy including loosened joints, relaxed ligaments, and altered posture from weight gain, making the back more susceptible to injury or pain.

With time and proper rehabilitation, post-pregnancy back pain is very manageable and preventable from becoming chronic for most women.
